Canton Land Conservation Trust
The Canton Land Conservation Trust is a nonprofit organization that maintains and protects over 2,000 acres of land throughout the town. Within the land trust, there are several trails ranging in difficulties, lengths, and terrain — including Arnold Preserve, Mary Conklin Sanctuary, Sweetheart Mountain, Uplands Preserve, Goedecke-Humphrey Trails, and more.
Roaring Brook Nature Center
Home to over 150 bird species, various animals, and almost 200-acres of land, the Roaring Brook Nature Center is a perfect spot for families to hike and learn about the local wildlife in the Canton area.
Farmington River Trail
The Farmington River Trail is a scenic trail along the river that runs right through Collinsville and Canton. It is a popular spot to visit and is very busy on weekends. The trail is paved, making it perfect for walking, running, biking, or rollerblading throughout the spring, summer and fall.
